Several years in the making, Bounte: Two is now available. You can preview and download it here:

Hard-hitting electro anthems like Small Together and What’s in the Cards are contrasted with delicate, mournful ballads Unborn and Taking You, while label-defying tracks like Thingawowzer showcase Bounte’s musical inventiveness and creative programming. Bounte further develops his clever integration of myriad synths, beats, vocals, and ambient textures into a gripping blend of electronic, pop, jazz, and classical structures in his second full-length album.

Guest appearances by local musicians add variety and flavor rooted in the Chicago scene. Alan Ruffin of Silver Atlas contributes the majority of vocals, joined by Brittany Bindrim of i:scintilla, Lauren Cheatham of The Atomica Project, and Young Hoodchiano. Production by Wade Alin of The Atomica Project/Christ Analogue adds a final sheen of clarity and excitement to the mixes.

We’ve posted two free mini-albums that consolidate Bounte’s remixes and unreleased tracks, titled respectively “remixes00,” and “1.5.” You’ll find 12 tracks between the two, which we’ve made available in the past through the blog, but have now combined into album format.

Hi,

You accepted this newsletter at one point, so before dashing to the unsubscribe link consider what your friend Dean is up to with Bounte.

Since the release of One in 2007, I took some time to get married, travel Europe, start an audio loops company called Beatserv, release an EP, tour with The Atomica Project, DJ a few shows, work on a few hundred websites (not kidding), and work on tracks for the next album.

As I get close to finishing and releasing this album, I’ll have a few unreleased tracks freely available on the newly overhauled bounte.com. If you follow my blog, you’ll be able to catch them. The first is up right now.

Stick with this newsletter, and I’ll let you know when the album is released, and what my plans are beyond that.
